Happy New Year, Sketchboard Community! We hope you’re resting well, enjoying time with loved ones, and staying healthy. Our team is thrilled to unveil some fantastic programming this year, with a few new additions joining the rotation.

As we approach our first event of the season, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to our donors, subscribers, and volunteers. While everyone reading this newsletter has contributed to sustaining this group in one way or another, it’s a tremendous accomplishment to have sustained this organization to where it’s at now, and where it’s about to go from donated time to financial resources, so thank you for believing in us and consistently showing up for our most ambitious projects.

We’re closer than ever to securing the dream space we’ve been talking about on Instagram: a co-op community hub with a coffee-and-wine spot in the front, plus studios, artist residencies, and more. You know how we do—let’s go, year 12!

News:

If you don’t have social media, you may have missed our stacked lineup of events, but you can still check out the ticket page for all the goods. And we know some of you guys rely on the website or these newsletters to stay up to date. We have heard your requests on having a public google calendar. You can find it here or on our website, along with our fliers.

  • Last Thursdays at Ruth’s Table are **FREE**; just sign up in advance and cancel if you can’t make it. Once we reach capacity, we won’t be able to accommodate more seating, so reserve early!

  • Feeling stretched but want to stay involved? Consider **volunteering**! By lending your time and energy, you help keep our events accessible for everyone. You can sign up through the ticket link. We only ask that you show up with integrity, commit to your shift, or reschedule if needed.

If you’ve made it this far, you’re the real MVP—thank you! Everything happens because of the intention we bring, the time we spend building relationships, sustaining them, and continually seeking ways to make things better than they were. That’s the future we believe in.

Warmly,

Natalie, Director + Sketchboard Team
